Cherry Valley Bowhunters (CVBH) Archery Club
BSA Overnight Camping Expectations
CVBH leases property from Jim and Kathy Wagner. The Wagners have graciously agreed to allow BSA troops to camp overnight as part of an effort to improve the availability and quality of archery in the local BSA.
Camping is by appointment only, November through April. Arrangements should be made through CVBH’s head coach, Carolyn Morehouse. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 909-649-4659.
Archery instruction is on Saturdays only.
Camping on Friday or Saturday nights is the best for us. Friday nights there is often a group of friends shooting indoors, and they can get a bit rowdy, but they are family-friendly.
Campers should prepare for primitive conditions. Pack everything (including firewood and water) in, and pack everything out. Port-a-potties are provided, but be prepared for them to be gross and spider-infested when you arrive! Bring your own toilet paper; ours may be missing or have spiders.
All persons on the property must fill out a Liability Waiver. Download and print them from the website:
One Waiver per family is adequate.
Camp Fires must be in pits, and filled in after use.
CVBH asks $100, to help with the expenses of operating the facility. Same price whether for one night or two.
Earning BSA Archery Awards:
Groups are welcome to come work on their archery awards with our certified coaches. We are available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, on Saturday afternoons from 1 pm to 4 pm. Call Carolyn Morehouse 909-649-4659 to schedule your group.
