BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICABSA Overnight Camping Expectations
CVBH has graciously agreed to allow BSA troops to camp overnight as part of an effort to improve the availability and quality of archery in the local BSA. Camping is by appointment only, November through April. Arrangements should be made through CVBH’s head coach, Michael McGraw. Email: mangoblanco10@gmail.com or call 760-333-4267. Archery instruction is on Saturdays only. Camping on Friday or Saturday nights are the best for us. Campers should prepare for primitive conditions. Pack everything (including firewood and water) in, and pack everything out. Port-a-potties are available, but be prepared for them to be gross and spider-infested when you arrive! Bring your own toilet paper; ours may be missing or have spiders. All persons on the property must fill out and print a Liability Waiver: cvbhreleaseform.pdf One Waiver per family is adequate. Camp Fires must be in pits, and filled in after use. CVBH asks $100, to help with the expenses of operating the facility. Same price for one night or two. Earning BSA Archery Awards: Groups are welcome to come work on their archery awards with our certified coaches. We are available BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, on Saturday afternoons from 1 pm to 4 pm. Call Michael McGraw 760-333-4267 to schedule your group. |
