Cherry Valley Bowhunters is a non-profit organization which has been committed to promoting and bolstering the sport of archery since 1980. Towards that end, we sponsor Safari Day at Raahauges in Norco each year. Not only do we provide the bows and arrows, but our club members volunteer their time to introduce archery to the over 1,100 youths who attend the event. We also sponsor camp-outs for Boy Scout groups at our range, at which we provide equipment and hands-on instruction in archery techniques and safety.
Our only means of revenue to defer the costs of such events are the 3-D shoots we hold three times each year. Our major event of the year is our annual Big Bear Shoot during the month of August at Jenks Lake. This year, we expect approximately 400 shooters and their families to attend this two day event.
The Big Bear Shoot is the largest 3D archery shoot in Southern California. And we promote this event through our website, facebook page, advertisement through the monthly California Bowmen Hunters newsletter and general word of mouth as it has been a staple shoot for 30 years of the Southern California archery community.
This is a great opportunity for your company to show off products to a captive audience of dedicated archers and outdoor people. We have space available to set up booths to showcase your equipment. If you are unable to send a representative, we are also looking for product donations to feature in our raffle. All donations are tax deductible and we will feature your company on our website and in our newsletter.
Please notify us at your earliest convenience if you will be able to assist us in making this year’s Big Bear Shoot a success. You can contact our raffle and sponsorship coordinators through our contact form if you are interested.
